Academic articles

I have spent much of the last five years writing about video games for academic audiences. In addition to a few talks here and there, I’ve published these articles, mainly on nostalgia in video game music. While I have partly moved away from academic writing, I maintain an interest in musicology. My motivation in writing about video game music has been to bring an interpretive intensity more commonly reserved for works of the classical canon to this rich tradition. I hope, too, that my writing on classical music has been informed by the sense of wonder and depth I feel at the worlds and stories games unfold.
